Marjorie M. Fly, age 64, passed away supported by her loving husband and best friend on Tuesday, October 3, 2018. She was born in Exeter, California to Paul and Lucille Marks. Together they had one daughter. Marjorie and Grant enjoyed taking trips with each other, helping their family whenever needed and spending time with family. Some of their favorite times were spent with their grandkids hiking in the forest and going to the central coast. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Grant; daughter, Jennifer (Matt), siblings Bill, Paula, Joe, Anne and 4 grandchildren. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:

Grant, Jennifer and Family, Was so sad to hear of Margie's passing. Although we haven't seen each other in years, she was the sister I never had. Margie was our maid of honor in 1976 when Jim and I got married. Rest in Peace my friend, until we meet again.

I considered Marjorie a friend from all of our chats at the Exeter library and around town. We shared stories about books, authors, neighbors and the whole community. Marjorie helped me get back out connecting with people and interacting by suggesting that I would be a good fit for the library's volunteer tutoring program. That enabled me to go on and start working part-time. Marjorie's friendship really made a difference in my life.

It is with great sadness that I read of Marjorie's passing. I really missed her when she left the Exeter Library and was transferred to Lindsay. Now, I wish that I had dropped by the Lindsay branch more frequently to chat. It was my custom to tell Marjorie what I thought of the books that I had checked out. She was truly interested. Marjorie was a genuinely kind and sincere woman.
